The flashing of lightning outside their hut is what kept Pebble awake, the covers of her bed wrapped around her shivering frame as tears streamed down her face. She was like a child, hiding from the thing that scared her as if it was a monster. Storms... they never really bothered her before. But after the night she accidentally killed soldiers? Well, they haunted her. She shivered, trying to desperately calm herself down. There was no escaping it. Finally, as thunder vibrated her chest, she slipped out of her bed, shivering with each step as she felt her way through the darkness, sniffling. She finally escaped the confines of her room and peered around before tracing her steps to Levi's. Screw Doff. She was a bitch. She and Armin didn't really connect much... who better to go to than her blue eyed lover? She stepped silently into his room, finding unsurprisingly easy to make it to his bed as nothing was blocking the path. She could hear his steady breathing from where she stood. No doubt he'd be woken when she slipped into bed with him but who cared. She was terrified. Her shivering for finally slid right under his covers and into his bed, instantly accidentally sliding to him thanks to the bed swaying to his weight. Didn't matter. She found warmth there and comfort, curling up beside him, still crying and sniffling. She stiffened as another lightning strike cracked across the sky, yet relaxed as it passed. Screw Levi's sleep

Levi was used to sleeping through all sorts of crap, so a storm didn't effect him. He didn't know that Pebble was afraid of storms. So he didn't wake up until Pebble slipped into his bed, and when he woke up and found someone next to him he got defensive for a moment. Who the hell was in his bed? The male whipped around, ignoring the now messed up covers, only to find a shivering and seemingly terrified girlfriend there. Oh. His drowsiness instantly came back as his brain registered that there was no threat, haphazardly fixing the covers some. "pebble?" Levi asked, his voice groggy. Did her room get flooded or something? The lightning struck and she stiffened and then he realized what was going on. She must of been afraid of thunderstorms. "It's just a storm, you'll be fine." he said. He wasn't exactly one to relate with fear, any fear he felt was from early childhood that was foggy in his memory when he just woke up. This girl fought Titans for a living, he didn't understand how she wasn't afraid of storms. Levi let out a small sigh and decided to attempt to put an arm around her, hoping the gesture would help.

Imma try this tomorrow.
Hearing his voice... it comforted her a bit. 'It's just a storm, you'll be fine' as if. Storms were loud and scary and lead to bad things. Everything bad and sad was always during a storm! However, feeling his arm drape around her instantly relaxed her. She was protected. Nothing bad would get her, right? Not as long as he was here. She uncurled herself, allowing one leg to slide on his, the other just off in the bed doing its own thing. She pressed herself closer to him, head and the top hand resting on his chest, the other hand sliding under his back so this made a really cute scene. She remained silent though, just staring at the wall and listening to his breathing.

If something tried to get her while she was cuddling him in bed, Levi would have a serious problem. She didn't say anything but he could tell she was relaxed. Her breathing evened out and she didn't appear to be stiff, and her shivering and trembling ceased as well. Levi would close his eyes again and rested his head back, a soft smile coming to his face as she rested her head on his chest. Too bad no one would get to see it. He felt pretty awake at this point, probably could fall back asleep soon but he wanted to savor the scene. It felt nice to help her, it felt nice to be close to her. Stupid Levi, why didn't he open up sooner? Not that he planned on opening up to everyone, just pebble. The hand that wasn't hugging her would reach up to absentmindedly playing with her hair, his mind wandering off to the possibilities of the future. He sincerely hoped that pebble would remain in it. "I love you pebble." he murmured, autocorrect totally didn't try to change that to murdered sleepiness allowing his to be more free and relaxed with his words. They should do this more often.

She finally closed her eyes, feeling... safe. For once. She wasn't on edge, she wasn't anxious. She was genuinely happy. She could get use to this. She agreed that they should do this more often. Hearing his mutter, she smiled, a soft "hmph" escaping her. "I love you too, Levi." She replied, voice soft without her edge. She thought for a second. "Savannah. My name is Savannah." She ventured quietly. Pebble was... old for her now. Savannah... man it had been forever since she heard the name, let alone spoke it. She was half asleep now, simply listening and waiting for his response.

He was glad that she felt so calm and relaxed, that he could make her feel safe and happy. She replied, giving him the words he was overjoyed to hear. She loved him back. Not that he was expecting something else, but it was still amazing to hear those words. He hadn't felt like this for pretty much as long as he could remember. You didn't exactly get to have that teenage love at first sight then breakup an hour later flings underground. Then she added onto her words, surprising him yet again. She was just full of surprised wasn't she? Savannah... that was a nice name. It took a moment for his sleepy mind to process this, but when it did he would say "A lovely name for a lovely person." a small yawn escaped him once he was done.

His words instantly floated through her mind, causing her to wake a bit. Just in time to hear that yawn. "You're cute when you yawn." Cliché, but it was that cheesy love she enjoyed. However, that contagious yawn instantly infected her and she yawned as well before hearing the thunder. She stiffened a bit, holding her breath, before letting it go, deciding that Levi was here. "Promise me something..." She mumbled, taking the one hand that wasn't tucked under him and tracing small patterns. "You'll protect me." She added, more awake now than ever. God she really needed to stop bugging him and sleep.

He was... cute? That was a first. Foreign to his ears. That was something other people said, he never expected it to be told to him. It was strange, but he thought he liked it. The thunder rumbled and he felt her stiffen but she soon relaxed. Then she spoke again. Promise her? Then she added onto it. Promise to protect her? Didn't he do that anyways? Well it didn't hurt to put it into words, it's not like she could read his mind. "Of course." Levi spoke, muscles tensing slightly at her patterns. Don't blame him, it tickled!

"Good." She mumbled, feeling his muscles tighten beneath her. It came to her attention that while she knew it, she never thought about the fact that Levi had abs. Of course he did. He was Levi fucking Ackerman. A sly smile came to her face as she moved down a bit to trace along his abs, knowing full well it tickled. Why not? Bothering him was fun anyways. However, soon after, she yawned and fell limp, enjoying the sound of his heartbeat and falling asleep to it, the storm forgotten with him here.

Dear three walls she was doing that on purpose wasn't she? He bit his lip, not enough to make it bleed but enough to feel it, to stop him from making the tickle laugh noises. No Levi, don't ruin the mood. Luckily she stopped soon enough, allowing his face to return to smiling. An action previously rare that was becoming more and more common with pebble around. She fell limp, telling him that she was asleep. He should go back to sleep too shouldn't he? Levi would then close his eyes, drifting off back to sleep happily. This would be the best sleep he had gotten in a while, the happiest too.

When she woke, she was rather displeased to find that she had moved a bit in her sleep, still cuddled up to Levi, but unsure of his position. When leg was stick out of the covers and over the side of the bed, the other still on top of Levi's. Unfortunately for said man, her elbow was digging right into his side, in which she quickly removed it, tucking that hand under herself. Her hair was also slightly poofed, thanks to the humidity that had seeped into the house from last night's storm. Oh. That's why she was next to Levi. She smoothed her hair with her free hand before promptly pushing away from Levi and rolling over so her back was to him, sliding back into him on complete accident. She growled lowly to herself, taking a few minutes to take in just what was happening and to wake up.

Somehow during the night his arm fell off of her, though he wouldn't freak out when he woke up to someone besides him in his bed. He fell asleep thinking about pebble, so gen was expecting it when he woke up. When she began moving around it would stir him from his sleep, mumbling something inaudible under his breath. The male would roll over and try to put his arm back around his girlfriend, wanting to remain as close to her as possible. She was warm and comfortable, plus she made him happy. Triple win. Levi didn't want to think about what would have to be cleaned up after last nights storm just yet.

Was he even awake? She felt his arm flop onto her and she grunted a bit, falling back asleep in a few seconds because of it. However, she woke up not even ten minutes later and huffed, eyes wide. She shifted a bit. "Levi... babe, wake up." She mumbled, elbowing him in the chest before escaping his grasp and sitting up, legs dangling over the side of the bed. She yawned, slouching and half awake. She didn't expect to be this tired... huh. Was it because Levi was so warm or something? She huffed, paring over her shoulder, drowsy, to look at her boyfriend, bkinking the sleep from her eyes.

He got a little more time with the half hug, making him happy. Then she spoke and sat up, giving him a nice elbow to the chest. What if he didn't want to wake up just yet? What if he wanted to cuddle more? There couldn't be that much to do that required immediate attention. It's not like he had to do anything for the survey corps at the moment, not when he was kicked out. Levi let out a small sigh and pushed himself up into a sitting potisition, one hand rubbing his eyes sleepily. He didn't remember her hair being that poofy? Eh whatever. Considering it was quite warm out now, Levi slept without a shirt on so she would get a full view of his upper body. (I'm assuming that that's a normal guy thing, when it was "I woke up like this" day at school a bunch of guys were saying they slept in just their underwear) He stretched a bit, trying to wake up more. Now what, breakfast right? "What do you want for breakfast?" Levi asked, still drowsy enough to not realize that breakfast wouldn't be quite yet- they still had to wake up all the way.

She yawned once before looking back at him, finding something that she hadn't seen since they went swimming. She let her jaw go limp for a second, a blush coming to her face. She turned away in a bashful matter that definitely wouldn't go unnoticed, vovering her blush with her hand. She shuddered a bit, snorting. "Ah... um... food? Any food?" She was tripping over her words as she remained blushing. See, the only thing she slept in was a rather normal t-shirt kinda think and shorts. No bra of course. Who slept with a bra anyways? She blinked, refusing to look at him for fear of blushing further than she was, if possible.
