Her head was swimming. What was she going to do; what were they going to do? She ruined it! She ruined it all! They knew she was alive—they were going to follow her. They knew Adam existed—that confirmed the former thought. He was a 'threat' to them. She was a 'threat' to them all. And her son; she knew it was to be expected, but he hated her. He didn't even know her but he hated her.
She rode along silently, throwing her hood over her head to avoids the gazes of the people around her. Yes, she was gone for a bit. Yes, she was acting strange. She carried on, chewing on the inside of her mouth—her gums. Jean moved quickly and smoothly through the streets, unaffected by the fact that Doff wasn't controlling him and rather just somehow managing to maintain her halfseat, zoned out to everything around her and leaning forwards just a little too far. He was used to it by now; he had dealt with it since day one. She wasn't a bad rider... She just wasn't good with riding and dealing with friggin shock. Good horse. It's like he already and always knew where to go.
She gritted her teeth, wiping her bangs to the side other face with the back of her hand, ignoring the beads of sweat that gathered. Adam raced silently beside her, silent to everybody except her. 'Calm down, it's gonna be fine.' but she wouldn't take it. "Oh, hAWK no!" She suddenly screeched, swinging her head around to give him a raged stare. hormonal!Doff, activate. To everybody except her, it just appeared she snapped for no reason, seeing that the stag didn't speak aloud. They were probably used to it by now, though.
She shut him out, ignoring every other thing he said to her, and continuing forwards heart rate increasing with every stride from Jean. She nearly fell off him, even, as he tripped lightly, but she maintained her balance, pulling him back to a steady trot in which she sat, unwilling to post. Moments later, she was dismounted, loosening the overo's girth, breath coming in rapid shakes.
